I ran away from home yesterday. I really wasn't angry, just bored! I didn't take my backpack with me and couldn't have cared less if it poured.
I wanted to get as far away as I could from people I know, And I didn't want to be close by, answering questions from my mother.
I wanted to be all by myself and go somewhere really exciting, Where no-one would tell me what to do and lessons I would not be writing.
I'd see the world and make brand-new friends And stay there just as long as it took -- I ran away from home yesterday to my own secret place -- with a book!
