Those Summer Days on the Yacht

There is a romantic notion in everyone that has at some point dream't about escaping everything and sailing the open oceans being blown where the currents and wind will take you.

I definitely would want to try that out! :D

That's gonna be in my new year's resolutions list.

Check out the yachting courses offered at different countries below. (:

New Zealand Yachting Course

Royal Selangor Yacht Club, Malaysia

Republic of Singapore Yacht Club

The Maritime Academy

Oh by the wayyyy. Greece is also an ideal country for tourists who prefer to spend their vacation on a yacht or a cruise ship.

Due to its position and its abundance of natural beauty, Greece offers some of the most excellent cruising and sailing anywhere in the world. Sailing provides a unique opportunity to access an infinite number of secluded shores, beaches and bays of Greek Islands, inaccessible by other means.

Arrange a sailing adventure to Crete and uncover its hidden treasures. Many cruises also include in their itineraries destinations such as Turkey, the Black Sea region, Cyprus, Israel or Egypt. Others may transport you to Malta and Italy.

On a second thought, I ought to learn how to swim first before trying out in the DEEP SEA.
Hahaha.

The Brick

bout ten years ago, a young and very successful executive named Josh was traveling down a Chicago neighborhood street. He was going a bit too fast in his sleek, black, 12 cylinder Jaguar XKE, which was only two months old.

He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no child darted out, but a brick sailed out and - WHUMP! - it smashed Into the Jag's shiny black side door! SCREECH..!!!! Brakes slammed! Gears ground into reverse, and tires madly spun the Jaguar back to the spot from where the brick had been thrown. Josh jumped out of the car, grabbed the kid and pushed him up against a parked car. He shouted at the kid, "What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing?!" Building up a head of steam, he went on. "That's my new Jag, that brick you threw is gonna cost you a lot of money. Why did you throw it?"

"Please, mister, please. . . I'm sorry! I didn't know what else to do!" Pleaded the youngster. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop!" Tears were dripping down the boy's chin as he pointed around the parked car. "It's my brother, mister," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up." Sobbing, the boy asked the executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."

Moved beyond words, the young executive tried desperately to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. Straining, he lifted the young man back into the wheelchair and took out his handkerchief and wiped the scrapes and cuts, checking to see that everything was going to be OK. He then watched the younger brother push him down the sidewalk toward their home.

It was a long walk back to the sleek, black, shining, 12 cylinder Jaguar XKE -a long and slow walk. Josh never did fix the side door of his Jaguar. He kept the dent to remind him not to go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at him to get his attention. . . Some bricks are softer than others. Feel for the bricks of life coming at to you. For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has positive answers.

Sofa Be Inspired

The sofa above by Igland design has specially been designed for ad agency offices, enabling its users to accommodate it, as per the requirements. This sofa, basically, consists of 4 pieces that could be connected into different ways or forms. Interestingly, you can disjoint its parts, if the need arises and at the same time can rejoin them into different forms, to cater a bigger congregation.

Personally,

I myself,

like this one. (:

A Song of an Autumn Night

Under the crescent moon a light autumn dew
Has chilled the robe she will not change --
And she touches a silver lute all night,
Afraid to go back to her empty room.

Abortion...

Month one

Mommy
I am only 8 inches long
but I have all my organs.
I love the sound of your voice.
Every time I hear it
I wave my arms and legs.
The sound of your heart beat
is my favorite lullaby.

Month Two

Mommy
today I learned how to suck my thumb.
If you could see me
you could definitely tell that I am a baby.
I'm not big enough to survive outside my home though.
It is so nice and warm in here.

Month Three

You know what Mommy
I'm a boy!!
I hope that makes you happy.
I always want you to be happy.
I don't like it when you cry.
You sound so sad.
It makes me sad too
and I cry with you even though
you can't hear me.

Month Four

Mommy
my hair is starting to grow.
It is very short and fine
but I will have a lot of it.
I spend a lot of my time exercising.
I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes
and stretch my arms and legs.
I am becoming quite good at it too.

Month Five

You went to the doctor today.
Mommy, he lied to you.
He said that I'm not a baby.
I am a baby Mommy, your baby.
I think and feel.
Mommy, what's abortion?

Month Six

I can hear that doctor again.
I don't like him.
He seems cold and heartless.
Something is intruding my home.
The doctor called it a needle.
Mommy what is it? It burns!
Please make him stop!
I can't get away from it!
Mommy! HELP me!

Month Seven

Mommy
I am okay.
I am in Jesus's arms.
He is holding me.
He told me about abortion.
Why didn't you want me Mommy?

Every Abortion Is Just . . .

One more heart that was stopped.
Two more eyes that will never see.
Two more hands that will never touch.
Two more legs that will never run.
One more mouth that will never speak.

The Husband Store Joke

The store has become very popular, but there are a few simple rules:

Women may only enter the store ONCE to make a purchase. There are 6 floors, and the attributes of the men for sale on each floor are detailed outside. Although you can choose a man from any floor, once you have entered a particular floor you must make a purchase there. You cannot go back down, except when you exit the building.

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a lifelong partner. On the first floor the sign outside reads: 'Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord'. She moves on up.

On the next floor the sign reads: 'Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord and love kids'. She keeps going.

The sign outside the third floor reads: 'Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids and are extremely good-looking'. Still she moves on up.

Next she sees the sign: 'Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are extremely good-looking and help with the housework'. Excited now, again she proceeds to the next floor.

The sign outside the fifth floor reads: 'Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are extremely good-looking, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak'. Although tempted to make her purchase from this floor, she can't wait to see what's available on the sixth.

Reaching for the door-handle to enter the floor area, she notices the sign outside. 'Floor 6 - You are visitor number 4,634,289 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists simply to prove that women are impossible to please'.

I think I would have gone to the top floor too. (:

Raw Foodists Charged

Absurd but true – Ron Obadia and Nadine Artemis, two owners of the Toronto-based raw food and beauty care company Living Libations were arrested last month at the US-Canadian border on their way to Arizona, after drug-sniffing dogs found their 2.5 pounds cache of raw, unrefined chocolate – which officials mistook as hashish. After hours of intimidating interrogation tactics and threats of “life in jail” by Canadian enforcement authorities, a drug test returned a false positive, identifying the raw chocolate as hashish.

Chinese Monkey Picked Tea

Legend says that over ten centuries ago, upon seeing his master pick tea leaves, a monkey climbed up and collected the leaves and brought them down for his master.

Whether it be legend or simply a cheaper form of labor, the story has turned into a rare product that you can purchase and enjoy.

Monkey Picked Tea is a rare tea that is carefully picked by specially trained monkeys in a remote mountain region of China.

True or not true, that is for you to ponder.

I just heard that the monkeys have formed a union and are now on strike pending better wages, health plan, and pension.

The Monkey with the Wooden Apple!

There once was a happy monkey wandering the jungle, eating delicious fruit when hungry, and resting when tired.
One day he came upon a house, where he saw a bowl of the most beautiful apples.
He took one in each hand and ran back into the forest.
He sniffed the apples and smelled nothing.
He tried to eat them, but hurt his teeth.
They were made of wood, but they were beautiful, and when the other monkeys saw them, he held onto them even tighter.
He admired his new possessions proudly as he wandered the jungle.
They glistened red in the sun, and seemed perfect to him.
He became so attached to them, that he didn't even notice his hunger at first.
A fruit tree reminded him, but he felt the apples in his hands.
He couldn't bear to set them down to reach for the fruit.
In fact, he couldn't relax, either, if he was to defend his apples.
A proud, but less happy monkey continued to walk along the forest trails.
The apples became heavier, and the poor little monkey thought about leaving them behind.
He was tired, hungry, and he couldn't climb trees or collect fruit with his hands full.
What if he just let go?
Letting go of such valuable things seemed crazy, but what else could he do?

He was so tired. Seeing the next fruit tree, and smelling it's fruit was enough.
He dropped the wooden apples and reached up for his meal.
He was happy again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Letting Go Of Wooden Apples
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like that little monkey, we sometimes carry things that seem too valuable to let go
A man carries an image of himself as "productive" - carries it like a shiny wooden apple.
But in reality, his busyness leaves him tired, and hungry for a better life.
Still, letting go seems crazy.
Even his worries are sacred apples - they prove he's "doing everything he can."
He holds onto them compulsively.
This is a hard thing to see.
We identify so strongly with our things even, feeling pain when our cars are dented.
How much more powerfully do we identify with our beliefs and self-ideas?
Yet they don't always feed our souls, do they?
And we become tired of defending them.
How else could the story end?
The monkey might be found dead of hunger, under a beautiful tree, with fruit within reach, but still grasping his wooden apples.
I chose to end it with him letting go, because only with open hands can we receive

This is not an ordinary box.

Casulo, designed by Marcel Krings & Sebastian Mühlhäuser, hides furnishings enough for an entire room.

Casulo won the "Abraham & David Roentgen Award" in November 2007 for its "cleverness, finesse and qualitative realisation of the idea"

Good job!

Tips for Better Life.

1. Take a 10-30 minutes walk every day. And while you walk, smile.

3. Sleep for 7 hours.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
5. Play more games.

7. Make time to pray. It provides us with daily fuel for our busy lives.

8. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
11. Drink plenty of water.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
14. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That
will ruin your present happiness.

15. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

16. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

17. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
18. Smile and laugh more.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20.. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
23. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about. Don't compare your partner with others.

24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
25. Forgive everyone for everything.
26.What other people think of you is none of your business.
27. GOD ! heals everything.
28. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
29. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

30. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
31. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
32. The best is yet to come.
33. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
34. Do the right thing!
35. Call your family often.
36. Your inner most is always happy. So be happy.
37. Each day give something good to others.
38. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
39. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.

Quotes

“A friend is a hand that is always holding yours, no matter how close or far apart you may be. A friend is someone who is always there and will always, always care. A friend is a feeling of forever in the heart.”

“A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked”

“Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it's all over.”

Thanks for giving me friends in life. =]

Lee Chong Wei shines in Olympics 08

BEIJING, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia, the world's No. 2 shuttler, entered the men's singles final at the Beijing Olympic Games here on Friday.

Lee eliminated Lee Hyun-il from South Korea to qualify FOR the final at 21-18, 13-21, 21-13.

"I have the confidence to win the third game despite I lost the second one," said the Malaysian, who was obviously in good form at the Beijing Olympics.

Lee Chong Wei said the chance to win over his possible rival, Chinese world top-ranked Lin Dan, stood at 50-50 and he would pay more attention to defense in the fight against Lin.

He kissed the Malaysian national flag on his T-shirt and hugged his coach in celebration of the hard-won success.

LEE Chong Wei has ended Malaysia’s 12-year wait for an Olympics medal after advancing to the Beijing Games men’s singles final. It will be the first time since the 1996 Atlanta Olympics when men’s doubles Cheah Soon Kit-Yap Kim Hock and men’s singles Rashid Sidek won silver and bronze respectively. Chong Wei has already cashed Rm350,000 with him as incentive from Malaysian government. Hopefully, he'll bring back the gold medal XD..and receive 1 million incentive..he shall be a millionaire then. haha.

Shakespeare beach

Hmmm. Shakespeare beach?. I wonder if its name is related to William Shakespeare in any way. Or perhaps, it's just a common name in UK. Ha.
Uhh, I just love the beach.

I'd like to
Stroll along the shoreline
Watch the sunset
Enjoy the rolling waves
Splashing on my feet

The chirping of the birds

The whispers of the wind

The clashing of the waves

I want more, please.

Dont harm the nature
Oh, if you would.
Preserve it.
Let it sings and glorifies
Him,
the Creator
of all creations.

The sound of the waves breaking on the shore
washes away all my passed.
There, a new life begins.

My Wishlist

I want a pair of portable chopsticks.
I dont like using plastic bags.
I'm an environmentalist. I get concerned when I see people littering around. I pick their rubbish and throw to bin, sometimes. when nobody sees it.
Oh, I need a new digital camera seriously.
My aged-old dig cam since my 12th b'day had retired.
If you have plenty of money and dont know where to spend, feel free to get me nice pressie. haha.

My Wishlist.
1. a canon digital camera, at least 6mega pixels
2. travel anywhere I want
3. someone who can bear with me
4. health and happiness throughout my life
5. go to the beach
6. always have my family and loved ones by my side

I'm turning 18th soon.
And I'm still alive after living for 18years. =)
Sometimes, I wonder how young/old will I die.
Frankly, I prefer to be the first to leave than to be the last
When all my loved ones are gone.
How unbearable is that.
To feel lonely.
I cant stand loneliness.
I'll cry.
I just love companions.

My 18years on earth...oh what a ride.
Cherished by dear ones and being hurt unintentionally.
This is life. A roller coaster ride.
Unpredictableness makes it exciting
And overwhelming.
I'm sensitive
To words, actions and expressions.
I fear what others think of me
I'm image conscious.

Sometimes, I'm just tired
Of changes in life.
One has to adapt to new situations
Why cant things be simpler.
Like one plus one.
Ohh.
I chased after superior goods
Which act as mere substitutes.
It never satisfies me
I just wanted more
And more
But never enough.
It's not really superior afterall.

Then, I realised
There is more than that in life.
Through Christ.

Faith, love and hope are the ones that will bring me through life.

i love me. =)
and all.

Mount Everest

Marvellous capture!

"The Himalayas have isolated Nepal from the Western world for centuries, and even today the ruggedness of these mountains continues to insulate the people, customs, and religions of this unusual land from the influence of the industrialized world. There are few roads extending into the Himalaya, and it is necessary to walk for days or even weeks to reach many destinations.

For the adventure traveler seeking wild country, this lack of transportation is considered an advantage rather than an obstacle. Nepal’s combination of natural beauty and unique cultures reveal themselves only to those who hike into its rugged mountains.

Trekking is not a wilderness adventure. The mountains in Nepal have been inhabited for centuries. The routes through these hills have been well traveled by Nepalese for many generations, and sharing the trails with the local people greatly enhances the journey.

Trekking is a cultural experience. The traveler is completely immersed in the culture and in touch with the people, environment, and wildlife. One of the joys of traveling is talking with the Nepalese, many of whom speak English and are happy to explain their culture and the natural history of the countryside."

I love adventure(!!) and I really longed to go backpacking.
The other day,
a friend of mine told me he joined this backpacking club in his coll.
Well, knowing me since school days
and
always heard me talk about backpacking in class
....

my friend then told me
....

each member is allowed to bring a friend along.

!!!

OH! It's ME then I screamed haha.
=p
Bring me, no regrets.
Haha.

So yeah.
Now I really gotta save $ to tour.
I'm looking forward to that trip sooooooon.!
=)

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scence of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you only see one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.'

awww.
