Korea Summer 09 Part 2

Bringing you to Anguk-dong.

This is the auto toilet we saw right after we came out from the subway station.

Many pine trees in Korea.
I like it.

All the shops here sell similar souvenirs.
You can get all of them here.

At Ssamziegil.
Expensive place.

The yellow one is a car lift.
Koreans seemed to like corns a lot.
I dont know.

They like to sit on mats.
Many Koreans sleep on mats too.
Just a part of their culture.

This smells terrible.
But they like 'em.
It looks like worm.
It is some kind of insects...parasite?

I forgot. lol

This is Korean traditional biscuit.

As long as you bite out the love shape perfectly,
you will get another piece for free.
hahaha.

We tried this.
I prefer the plum tea with a bit of sour taste.
While our korean guide prefers the pink one.
I dont know what is it called in english.

This is the place where people play baseball.
Just for practice.
It is quite cheap.
I mean...really cheap.
1000won for.....i forgot how many balls.
around 17 I guess.

I played once, but hahaha.
No hits.
Would love to try again next time.

Here is Gyeongbukgung Palace.

The main gate.

You can get here by getting down from Gyeongbukgung Station, Line 3.

Korea 09 Summer Part 1

Shopping streets in Myeongdong.

It's very crowded.

Many japanese tourists like to shop here.

From street shops to lotte department store.

You can get almost everything here.

Pic below is taken at Dongdaemun.

It has 24hours shopping.

This is the subway station in Korea.

They have more than 9 lines.

It is very convenient to travel around.

Cost 1000 won for most of the single trips.

It is quite clean

but not all is modern.

I think singapore's subway is still one of the best.
